You’ve been staring at the blinking cursor for hours (days? weeks?) and you’re exhausted. What should you even say? Does this even sound like you? Will what you’ve written even land with your dream clients?
And when you consider outsourcing the writing in your business, a whole other slew of questions comes up: How can a stranger write words that sound like me? How do I pick the right copywriter? Is it worth the investment?
Allow me to reassure you, friend. My process is strategically designed to uncover all the important details of your brand, so you feel confident in our work together and see a rapid return on investment.
I’m Audrey Whelan, a copywriter for badass female business owners (and your personal hype-gal). I’m a generator, a chronic illness warrior, a coffee and cereal fanatic, and a *bit* of a word nerd.
Growing up, whenever I’d visit my dad at his office (he’s also a small business owner), I’d notice a little note adhered to his computer monitor that read, “Do all things with integrity.”
Before I even had a full grasp on what the word meant, my family instilled this value in my bones.
Around here, we love honesty and openness (and being a generally good human), and my clients do, too.
I care deeply about the quality of my work. This means I’m constantly investing in tools and resources that will uplevel my writing, my process, and your client experience.
No matter what we’re working on together, you can expect that the highest level of research, care, and strategy has gone into making sure your copy is totally top-notch.
Empathy allows us to forge incomparable connections and build invaluable trust. Trust is the foundation of any relationship—professional or otherwise—and without it, we’ve got nothing.
I strive to practice empathy in the way I interact with my community and in the way I write for you.
Sleazy, dishonest, or pushy copy that makes you (and your readers) cringe? Yikes! That’s not the vibe.
When I was a little girl, I inadvertently invented the most magical, hope-filled, creatively free place in the whole universe. We call it… Audrey’s World.
I grew up with two of the most supportive, loving, weird parents in the world. They always celebrated my quirks and encouraged the things that set me apart.
Whether I was skipping and singing wildly through the parking lot at the zoo (true story—just begging to be squashed like a bug), or spending afternoon upon afternoon creating imaginary worlds in short stories and poems, my parents and I soon learned that this universe I had created for myself and for others—Audrey’s World—wasn’t going away any time soon.
Helping to give my “special place” a name was one of the first unspoken contracts my parents and I agreed upon. It was as if they said:
“We’ll promise to cherish even the most peculiar and eccentric parts of you, if you promise to always honor those knowings, this creativity, this passion for storytelling, for as long as you possibly can.”
I didn’t realize it at the time, but both parties agreed. And the contract hasn’t been broken since.
Now, I am so deeply grateful for little Audrey for honoring what she always knew to be the truth—creativity allows you to make something out of nothing, to make magic out of tiny moments.
